E-Bike Rental in Acadia National Park

Why rent from us? As a small specialty shop who’s main focus is customer service, personalized attention, and an eye for the details we are well suited to get you out and on your way. Because we maintain a small fleet we are able to assure our bikes are well maintained and that your rental process is quick and smooth. No long lines, and easy advance online reservations mean that you are on your bike and out the door fast. That means you have more time to bike and enjoy your day.

We don’t have on-site parking but are located downtown meaning we are an easy walk to the shop and only 1.5 miles from the nearest entrance to the Carriage Roads or 1 mile from the Park Loop Rd. We are also the only bike rental outfit on Main St. Our staff will assist you in every step of the rental process and make sure you are set up for success.

Our Class 1 E-bikes provide up to 50 miles of range on a full charge. This means that you should have plenty of charge to enjoy a fun day of biking without worry. (Note: Actual range will depend on your weight, chosen terrain, and how much assistance you use vs. traditional gearing. We do recommend being conservative with your use of assistance.)

E-Bike Rental Options:

Full Day E-Bike Rental: We offer Full Day E-Bike rentals at the best rates in town. Reserve your bike and come whenever you like. We will hold it for you all day. We just ask that it is back by 5pm.
Half Day E-Bike Rental: We offer Half Day Rentals (4 hours) with an advance reservation in the morning starting at 9am (10am in the shoulder season). We don’t reserve your bike after you so, if you opt to stay out past 4 hours are overdue you will simply be upgraded to the full-day rate. We also offer walk-in rentals on a first-come-first basis. If you come before 1pm we will place you on a full day reservation and you will be charged the half day rate as long as you are back within 4 hours. If you want to guarantee that you have a bike or would like flexibility in your arrival time we would encourage you to make a full-day reservation. You can come get the bike at your convenience without feeling rushed.

Included With an E-Bike Rental:

(Note: to meet National Park regulations for the Carriage Roads in Acadia, all our bikes are set up as Class 1 E-bikes and give assistance only when you pedal )
A helmet, lock, and water bottle holder
An orientation to the usage of the bike and and its functions as well as a briefing on rules and regulations for biking in Acadia National Park
A detailed Carriage Road map and directions to the nearest access point to the biking trails as well as suggested routes that will fit your goals and itinerary for the day.

All rentals come with a helmet. We strongly urge all customers to wear their helmet at all times while biking. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of others while cycling.
E-bikes returned after 5pm are subject to a $45 late fee. Overdue morning half-day rentals will be assessed at our full-day rental rate. We have a strict reservation cancellation policy. If you need to cancel you must do so by 6pm the day before. We do not offer same day cancellation or refunds
